In this Catholic ministry of serving our Catholic families during an emotionally difficult time, we are looking for someone that is familiar with our Catholic burial traditions and is capable of performing the following job duties and responsibilities:
Burials and entombments specifically, digging and backfilling graves, preparing for graveside or mausoleum committal services, receiving and leading funeral processions,
Safe operation of cemetery vehicles and equipment including backhoe, trucks, utility vehicles, and other tools and equipment,
Maintaining cemetery grounds including general clean up outdoors, trash and debris removal, opening and closing graves, operating knowledge of landscaping and maintenance equipment, leaf and snow removal,
Installing markers, understanding grave layouts,
Attention to detail, respect for consecrated grounds, and traditions of the Roman Catholic faith,
Bilingual - Spanish/English or Italian/English
Required:
High school diploma or an equivalent amount of education and experience,
Reasonable physical requirements and abilities including some heavy lifting, walking
Valid driver's license, record of safe operation of motor vehicles
This is a full-time position Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon. Salary is commensurate with experience.
